Many employee assistance programs offer counseling and other activities that can help a company's employees better cope with stress and other emotional issues that may be affecting their performance at a company. Employee assistance programs are also often called in after a traumatic event at a company, such as a fatal or near-fatal workplace accident or violent event. Many times, a company's morale and work ethic may increase after the employees have gotten help from an employee assistance program.
